Has anyone tried the cloud based Fusion 360 ?
It has hsmworks 2d and 3d. I do not know if it work with a 4th axis.
Does anyone know about this software and it's use etc for cuemaking ?
any replies appreciated,
Neil

Neil,

I looked at Fusion360 and it will not do 4 axis CAM.

It is also a parametric modeler in 2/3D and is really not suitable for cue making.

I would look elsewhere.

I'm of the opinion that cloud based parametric is the future. The fact that fusion won't do high end machining at the moment is by design. The tool path is the easy part. Getting the world on board with modeling and more importantly collaboration is why Fusion exists. Autodesk is being sneaky/strategic in that they are damn near giving it away so that a following is created/talents developed.

As hard as it is to believe or imagine, programs like bobcad and mastercam will be obsolete and almost detrimental to design / efficiency.
