Automatic Aiming

Easier Routines

Aiming isn't automatic, you still must have some kind of routine to get the ball to the whole. Some routines are just easier then others.

Anthony,
You said a lot there and I concur, the easier you make the better your position play.

I think my bad position play actually help me on becoming a better at shot maker.I figured the heck with shape Im just going to learn to make shots from every where.:D

You indicated in your 1st post that Pro 1 as a system should be used temporarily until it becomes automatic. My point is, even on auto pilot, the system is still strongly in use..it is the continual use that creates refinement visually and physically.

I agree that it's always in use especially once mastered. There is a big difference though in being aware vs. not aware of the use of the system.

Are you saying awareness is a positive or a negative after having learned CTE PRO ONE?

I'm saying that since I stopped consciously thinking about using Pro One, my level of play has gone up. I know that the hours I've put in with Pro One are to thank for this. Maybe I can record a video today and upload it tonight. Then you can tell me whether or not I'm still using Pro One when I'm not actually being aware of it's use.

Another thing Tor mentions is that the less variables you have the easier the game can be. I won't make any claims to that statement being a fact, but I know for me personally it's true.

AWARENESS is a must! You must be aware of what you are doing visually and physically at the table.

Concentration is not about being lost into a state non-awareness. Concentration is all about orderly thinking and the pleasure of motion. (Bob Fancher)

Using one's subconscious isn't the same as being non-aware. It's the balance between trying too hard and not trying at all.
