Some people call it a cue straightness checker. I just use it to display cues or film a video for Instagram etc.

You can't see a motor...can you see the gear on one of the rollers? Can you see the black box behind that gear? Can you see the press-button on that box?

Any chance that the motor is...gasp...housed in that box?
