i live in southern indiana and am looking for really pool halls. my fiancée is an avid player and i would LOVE to take him on a pool hall roadtrip for our honeymoon in september. please help me with some suggestions :grin:

First suggestion is you should cancel the wedding and marry me instead!
You'd be surprised at how few and far between really nice pool halls are. I know of interesting places, like maybe Bank Shot Billiards in Louisville, and there are a couple "interesting" places here in Chicago, but honeymoon worthy is a pretty tall order for a pool hall.

open to any possibilities really, but it would be nice to stay between louisville and indianapolis.
Your fiancee is one lucky man!! I wish my wife even remotely cared about pool. I'll be lucky if she comes to watch me play once a year.... Let alone going on a road trip!! lol

what size table does he usually play on?
The reason i ask is: He may not like 9 foot tables if he is used to bar tables. Some bar players are not comfortable in the pool hall setting. If he is used to 9 footers, then that won't matter.
May want to consider things like that when planning your trip.

I'm in southern IN too (Evansville) and I hate to say but there are no "good" pool halls nearby. Your best bet will be to look at Louisville or Nashville. Both have nice rooms. Indy has a few good rooms too, but I don't care for the town that much.
I moved here from Atlanta, and I can assure you that if you want to go to some epic pool rooms, that is the place. Cue 2's comes to mind, and Archer has a place (maybe he's just the house pro, don't know) in Marietta Ga.
