As many of you know, disastrous storms/hurricanes have impacted so many lives, businesses and communities across our southern United States. With that in mind, AZB member
Biloxi Boy had reached out and inquired about the possibility of a raffle, in an effort to assist in some small way, with the massive relief, rescue, and recovery efforts taking place in these devastated areas.
That being said, I got Mike involved, and we (Mike, FairladyZ, and myself) decided this was something worth doing. Some years ago, raffles were nixed from the site, due to some potential conflicts as it relates to certain gambling edicts/laws. Being that the proceeds from this raffle are 100% going to charity, we felt comfortable pulling this off.
With the preface out of the way, here are the particulars. We are raffling a $300.00 credit towards a John Barton cue case
@JB Cases, and a custom gambler style ink pen, that will be crafted by our very own member
@GoldCrown (a roughly $100.00 value). I want to take a moment to acknowledge these two members...When I approached John about this donation, he didn't even bat an eye, and member GoldCrown actually contacted me, to offer the custom ink pen of his own accord.
How this will work:
We will as in years past, use the Power-Ball number of the Power-Ball lottery game to determine the winner. There will be 26 spots available at $15.00 per spot. For the time being, I would ask that any interested persons request only 1 number/spot, in an effort to give as many folks as possible, a chance to participate. IF we're having trouble filling the spots, we will at that point, open up to allowing additional spots to be purchased by the same member/s. When the spots are filled, and paid for, a Power-Ball drawing date will be selected, and someone will receive two fabulous gifts.
Once a winner has been determined, that winner will then contact JB Cases via PM, and AZB member GoldCrown, to begin exchanging information, so that you may receive your cue case/credit, and your gambler style ink pen. Both John, and GoldCrown have been tagged to the thread, so that they may independently follow the progress of the raffle.
Mike will be handling the payments, and the charity disbursement, once this raffle has concluded. If you are using PayPal to pay for your spot, simply include your member name, and the spot that you have requested. Example: If I wanted Power-Ball number 16, my PayPal payment message would simply say: AZB - j2pac, hurricane 16. If you would like to use a different method of payment, please contact Mike
@azhousepro. Once Mike has confirmed that the list is paid for in it's entirety, we will select a drawing date, and get down to business.

The charity that we will be donating to, is
www.samaritanspurse.org. These folks are conducting relief efforts in the areas that have been most impacted by these devastating storms. IF the spots fill quickly, and you would still like to include a donation to this cause, you can simply send a donation to Mike at
housepro@azbilliards.com (message AZB hurricane relief effort 24) , and he will include it with the total that we donate at the end of the raffle, or you can simply donate directly to Samaritans Purse of your own accord, or any other relief agency that you see fit.
Any spot requests MUST happen in this thread, and they will be honored on a first ask, first serve basis. I will track/update the list in this thread. If you want a spot, but someone else has requested that number in an earlier post, you will simply have to select a different spot, and it will be awarded if it is available.

HUGE thank you to John Barton (JB Cases), and GoldCrown, for offering the prizes...Their heartfelt generosity in the face of these life altering storms, is yet another testament to human decency, and another reason to be proud of our AZB community. Please offer a shout out to all of these folks.
