A very pleasant surprise at the AZB room was the proficiency of the players. Of course, I suppose the non-players would probably not have signed up for the room, but DANG there are a lot of good players on the forum. There were none that I viewed (including Timberly who was badmouthing her own game) that wouldn’t be considered above average players in any pool room I’ve frequented. Marissa did not play.
I’ll single out out 3 superior players who really showed game. Not to knock anyone’s action, but more to compliment them for the dedication to achieve that kind of proficiency. Satman, IronDon55, and stevelomako are official recipients of the “Heavy Hitter Award.” Apologies to those I didn’t see play like JoeyA, jazznpool, and DRW, all of whom had excellent tournament results (if you don’t try to stomp me on the table, I can’t judge your level of play). Honorable mention to sodapopd and TommyT who showed some game.
