Event Details...

AZBilliards BCA Nationals - 10-Ball Tournament

- Entry $25.00 - 100% Pay Back
- Sign Up online or in AZBilliards room by Sunday by 11:00pm (first 64)
- Draw at 11:30pm (Sunday) for first matches
- Race to 5 - Double Elimination - Winner Breaks - Loser Pays
- All matches and tournament coordination will be in the AZBilliards room.
- Preliminary round matches will be played on any available 7' table.
- Finals rounds will be played on AZBilliards room table
- Double Elimination (2 set finals if necessary)

Sunday May 11th play 11:30pm - 2:00am
Monday May 12th play 10:30pm - 2:00am
Tuesday May 13th play 8:00pm - Duration

NOTE: It is expected that there may be some conflict with players still playing in the main tournament. These players will NOT be forfeited as long as they have communicated that they will be in matches during a certain time. (I will do my best to not forefiet any player until I absolutley must...please understand)

It is EXPECTED that all players will understand (and cooperate) that a match may be delayed and that there may be a need to "play around" a match until both players are available. Players that are not still in the main events should remain in contact with the AZBilliards room to communicate their availability for upcoming matches.

It should also be understood that when a match is called the 2 players will need to find an available table to play on. If during the course of a match a "main event" match is called to that table, the players are expected to give up that table and move to a different available table to finish the match....(The winner should report to the TD that the match is complete)

If you are planning on playing in the AZBilliards tournament and find that you will be in a match at 11:00pm on Sunday night..(Or Monday or Tuesday nights). You must communicate your availability at the AZBilliards room and you must pre-pay your entry prior to the 11:30 draw time. If you have not communicated, your spot will be given to the first "alternate" on the list that is available to pay.

We will do the best we can to accommodate all players and we expect all players to have full understanding.

Based on 64 players - $1600 prize fund:
1st - $500.00
2nd - $350.00
3rd - $200.00
4th - $130.00
5th - 6th $100
7th - 8th $50
9th - 12th $30

If you wish to sign up...Please add your name to the complete list of the last post of this thread....Thanks and good luck!!!

EDIT: Just to make sure that this is fair and for AZBilliards forum members...To qualify for entry you must have a active (Non-Banned) account with at least 50 posts prior to May 1, 2008.....This means that world beaters like John Schmidt and Tony Crosby, Jimmy Mendoza, Billy Incardona, Grady Mathews Freddy "The Beard", Joe Tucker, BlackJack etc. CAN sign up if thier schedules permit because they are active participants on this forum.

(Pros that wish to play that don't have 50 posts should plan on participating in the board for next years event.....)

Sounds like a wonderful opportunity for those going to Sin City this weekend.

yeah, my wife wants to play and she doesnt have an account. If she signed up for an account today would she be eligible to play? while that would be great for my wife, it would suck if some world beaters got in that didnt deserve it.

Hes a good player. A grand master who would just like to play in as many tourneys as he can. They wont let him play in minis. Even if he gives a master some weight. He couldnt play in any last year.

I think it is only fair that it be posters that have a verifiable account prior to May 1 2008 that had at least 50 posts prior to May 1, 2008.

(Since this is for the AZBillairds "forum" members)

However....That would mean John Schmidt would be allowed to enter if his schedule permits.

I am not going to purposley exclude anyone as long as they meet the requirements above...:)

okie dokie, that seems fair. Was just wondering on the rules. I will let him know he cant play. LOL (Hope they change the mini rules this year. And let the grand masters play) I dont feel its fair to them at all. Im sure they are all willing to give some weight to make it fair. There are very few of them, how can they participate??

there is plenty of 20 a game action in the action area. I dont think anyone is barred from that.

so that is the rule? 50 posts prior to may 1, 2008

Yes...I just edited the main post so that people that don't have 50 posts don't waste thier time....My intent for this whole thing was to get active posters that support the forum together...but I don't mind (in fact I encourage) the world beaters that are active participants to enter if thier scedules permit)...........Well...I may have to make an exception for Jay....;) ...Just kidding Jay.
