AZbilliards has a user base, tracks tournaments and maintains data on pro pool events.

I request AZBilliards develop a fantasy billiard league system like the popular fantasy sports teams. I don't mind volunteering time or coding or concept design.

As much fun as posting on the boards here are and discussing billiards news. It might be even more fun to see whos backing who and how much they would back them if they had the chance.

The purpose of the fantasy billiard league is to entertain users, enhance the website features and put more interest in specific players. Sometimes the big names are easy to know from publications, but their are always some "hustlers" that are worth knowing about. Data and numbers won't hide that fact.

To support players is to support the industry.

Flow: User picks people to win (maybe even writes in players names), database stores picks, php is given results, calculates users scores and displays out. database updates ranks of all players and scores or points are issued. The points are just to show which users predicted the results best. The users with best prediction score, thats another issue. Billiard whisperer title is awarded, or stake horse or something like that

I'm a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator. I would volunteer my time time if needed. Just reach out to me.

Volunteer time to design of the game.

AZ is using the vbulletin product, can it be structured for the following:

As a user I want to select my players for an event and what place they will finish. I want to see how other users are selecting players. When the event is over I want to know how well I did in comparison to other players.

I want my data stored and be able to view changes in my preferences over time. The highest score is my goal to get desired title of "The Picker" or "Stake Horse"

It could be fun for pro pool players to see how much support they have for specific events. Do they view this website?

Can you imagine a day when fewer people are choosing SVB for a favorite? Or if international users know about American players?

I am out at Turning Stone right now, but subscribing to this thread so that I can pick up the conversation when I get back home.

We did something very similar to this in the past and I could probably get the code back up and working for the US Open if everyone was interested.

Additional situations users might want to have data on:

after deciding their list for how billiard pros place in events

Another feature could be individual matchup: Featured by AZ like do you think player A
will place higher than player B in the event results.

Players from country A will have more wins than players from country B.

Gender matchups.

Situations that make people think about specific players.

To me it could be interesting, being a backer and weighing the options against specific competitors.

The site admin is considering investing time and resources to develop a fantasy billiard league system.

Please provide input so it has features you want to use:

I would want a fantasy billiard league game because I could be a backer or pretend to have money to be a backer. And I know my players can place at major events.

Im want people to know who I think is a strong player in the field. And when the results are in, the critics will have nothing to discuss.

Thats what the fantasy billiards game is about. Seeing which players are favorites and how many people think they are the favorite.

It might help new players on the circuit feel better about competing. It can be hard seeing empty stands while older players draw full crowds.

VOTE for the AZBILLIARDS FANTASY BILLIARD LEAGUE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

Big-time baseball and football fantasy player. I make good profits on season-long fantasy each year. I don't like daily fantasy...too addictive, too unpredictable, and feels like much less of a game of skill as season-long fantasy (and I lose too much money).

I would think if this was to happen, it would have to be more like daily fantasy, as in 1 tournament. I try to stay away from the daily fantasy, but would def do it for pool. It'd be pretty fun.
