Will there be any AZers in HI next week that wants a good honest casual game. Maybe we can have a little get together. I may or may not go, but a friend lives in Hawaii and he wants me there next week to help him through something.

I have played at Hawaiian Brians in Oahu before and since he is in Waikiki that is prob where I will play if I get there. I need to go to the Wave Nightclub too, cuz that place is soo coooooooooool, and I need to chill.

Stop by

When you are in Waikiki, stop by 2128 Kalakua Ave. and say hello. That's Skin Deep Tattoo. You might be able to talk me into a game or 2.

Hawaii 6-9 June

Addict,

If you do end up coming just send me a PM and we can set up a time to meet at 'Brians'.

I'll be in Hawaii on my Honeymoon then. But I don't what Island and when; it's a cruise to all the Islands. And I think my wife would be mad if pool was my focus on the honeymoon. But you never know, I'll look for a guy that resembles your avatar if I make to a poolhall.

Do you like to trade cues? I am thinking about bringing my Kersh to see what kind of offers I might get...

I'll miss you by 10 days and however many miles there are between Oahu and Maui. I doubt I'm going to play pool while I'm there though. The pool room is like 45 minutes from where I'll be in the Lahaina area.

i went to kuaui island for my honeymoon and ended up in a pool hall on a wednesday night tourney.

i was fortunate to win mainly due to the handicap i was given but when i got home i stopped playing english pool and never looked back

the pool hall was having problems at the time so i am intrested to know if its still there

I was there last year and I did see a pool room but I didn't go inside. It looked kind of shady from the parking lot and I didn't really feel comfortable going inside to check it out. I don't remember the name of the place, but I think it was in Kapaa on the main highway (I forget the name of the highway too).

How was it inside? Not as shady as it looked from the outside, I'm guessing?

Nice cue. South West cues are popular here, many of the players at Hawaiian Brians like them, so you might find a trade on something. A couple other posters on the forum from here have some nice cues, maybe they would like a trade. Unfortunately, all my cues get shipped out on Thursday as I am moving to Texas, so I really can't offer a trade. Love to shoot some if you get a chance.

One of the best players on Oahu used to be the bartender at The Wave - very small island/world :) Anyway, I don't get out much to the poolroom nowdays, but I could give you some good action (I'm always down to play) or I could get you into some games with cool people - casual and very honest games....let me know

if it was the same one it was upstairs above some shops on the main highway.

it was ok inside mainly locals and the owner was a top bloke everyone made me feel very welcome and cheered me on when i won at what must have been 1AM

i think most locals cud not understand how an english guy who hadnt played b4 cud be winning. i dont think the had seen a lot of english pool and couldnt get there heads round what i was on about.

Yeah. That's the one. I actually just stumbled on it because we were out one night, driving everywhere trying to find a place to eat that was still open, and there was this Thai place there downstairs that shared the same parking lot. We were staying at Princeville and that's how far we had to drive to find something that was still open (actually, we later learned that there was another town that, from where we were staying, was in the opposite direction of Kapaa, and they had a couple places that were open a little bit later)! Now that I know it's a friendly place I'll stop by next time I'm on that island.

well im glad its still there

its was a bit like aimes in the hustler "no drink no food just pool"

i stayed about 2 mins walk away so it was brilliant i think the wife thought id planned it

we went to germany for a break and booked an hotel on line and when we arrived there was a place next door "billiard centre" just coincidence honest !!!
