Hey Mike,

I think with the recent influx of Mark Tadds posts it would be fitting to give him a section under the Pro's section. I for one enjoy reading his posts and feel he brings a lot to the table. Others do not and that's ok too. This way he will have his own area to post and field questions without having to deal with people who don't enjoy reading his posts. In my opinion it's a win, win for everyone.

Thoughts?

I'm sorry, but I don't see this as appropriate. Yes, I know about Mark's past and have seen him play, and he was one of very best action players, a very special talent. In what sense, however, is he a pro? He had pro level skills, but does not particpate in professional pool and cannot offer an insider's view of the pro game. I think Mark's doing just fine on the main forum. He's connecting to many of us, myself included, and seems to enjoy participating in threads begun by others on the main forum. Should Mark ever become a significant member of the pro pool community, he'll be deserving of an "Ask the Pros" column.

Hey SJM,

Point taken. I just thought it would nice for him to have a place to post in peace for anyone interested in his stories. I guess "Ask the pros" may be inappropriate but I don't want to see him driven off the board. I've heard great things about his game and like the fact that he is here sharing with us.

Regards,
Dave

i disagree with sjm, actually since he's not a pro player anymore, he's not out on the road all the time trying to make a living, which allows him to post on the forum more regularly than the other pros, from what i've read he doesn't play pool at all, so he's not as good as he once was, does that mean he still doesn't have the knowledge of a pro player? if willie mosconi was all of a sudden alive again, and posted on this site, would he not be qualified for the ask the pros section cause he's been dead for 10 years? Is the ask the pro's section specifically there for the pros to answer only questions that a pro would know today but not ten years ago?
