backhand english?

i have only seen allen hokpins shoot when he does the tip of the day on espn.
he seems to not follow thru on a straight line,his tip seems to go off to the right or left.

is this backhand english?

do a search on here and you will find plenty of backhand english threads. If you can find the youtube link that colin does on explaining backhand id watch that, its a very clear explanation and helped me understand it.
