There was a post recently, where several posters were commenting about playing well and then during league playing badly. I was also in this catergory, losing to people who I had no business losing to. In the last two nights at league, I have only lost one game, and that was only because I missed a duck. I was playing quite a bit on my table before I went to league. What I found was, I was strugling with the table, speed and other things that created that awkward feeling instead of that sure feeling you should have when you are hitting them good. And since you only play a limited amount of games and the setting and drinking time, it is harder to get into stroke. What I do now, is I play as much or as little as I want at home, but two nights before league, I shoot until I feel I am in stroke and hitting them well, no matter how long it takes. The night before league, I do not hit a ball. League night, I get there early and shoot some, either with omeone, or just shoot by myself, it usually only takes a rack or so, to get the table speed down. Then when league starts, I am in decent form. It keeps the different table speeds from conflicting with eachother. If you are struggling, give it a try, and post back and let us know how you did.
