Bad streak blues

How do you guys deal with a bad week or longer where you just can't seem to hit anything right. Missing easy shots, misjudging banks, cuts all that jazz. What pulls you out of the slump?

Time heals all wounds.
If I have a bad day I don't fret too much. I'm usually back in form by the next time I play. A day off, in between, always helps. :)

Honestly, I just try to find someone to gamble with for cheap. I don't know what it is, but I like the pressure and it seems to snap me back into stroke. Before I used to try and take a week or so off but I always seemed to be in the same slump when I came back. I think everyone is different though so you have to find what works for you.

I just get out on the table when I have a few hours and just focus on my mechanics. If I am missing everything it is usually because I am doing something fundamentally wrong that is causing me to miss consistently. Just get back to the basics.

There is a usually a reason or two of why it is happening. Figuring out what is influencing it can go a long way.

a trick I use

A trick I learned - try " playing pretty" for a while. Focus on the smoothness of your stroke, the solidity of your stance, the oil in your elbow.

Stroke as if making balls did not mattter in the least. The only thing that matters is finding the smooth in your stroke-

Soon the balls start finding the pockets again.

If I start off bad and keep going bad for a while it's probably a bad day. But the next day it's usually a better start and I'm back. You just gotta get confident with the start a lot of the time and not worry too much about misses. There is always that day when you won't play that good though...
