I have a linen wraped cue that feels like it has air bubbles underneath it. Is there any thing I can do to help this problem besides having it rewraped?

Without seeing the cue it's kind of hard to say accurately, but you could try having it pressed and polished by a qualified technician. That would be the cheapest place to start. If it was me, I would try to work it so that if it did not work, then the press and polish money would apply towards the rewrap. :D

Talking about Irish linen wraps, is there a way to make the wrap smoother ? My Falcon J-B has quite a harsh wrap.

Get it pressed. Or use a real fine sandpaper and sand it.

Sanding won't damage the linen ? I guess Q Smooth or other smooth papers will do the job ?

Thanks for the tip.

Wraps should only be reworked if you know what you are doing. If you lightly sand it it should be pressed after and a light sealer used. If the wrap feels like it has air bubbles chances are it loosened up. Just have it rewrapped. If you can talk to the cue maker who made it chances are good he will rewrap it for free. If it's a Lucasi, Have it rewrapped the right way by some one else.

Lucasi ?

Michael Webb,

Does Lucasi have a tenedency to unravel? I had to have one rewrapped once that probabbly had less than 100 hours of play. And I had heard similar stories elsewhere.
