classiccues.com is run by two men, neither of whom responds to the name "Jimbo"

You are sadly mistaken, Jimbo is NOT classiccues.com

That's a heck of a deduction. Why do you think that it's not a small coincidence???

Multiple personality disorder. His psyche split to cope with the trauma when he saw his first copied cue. It's the eternal battle of good vs. evil taking place within one mind....2 people, one mind. It's elementary, my dear Watson.

I guess there's nothing better to talk about today. :D

???????

why do some of you guys turn every thread into a battle over cue design theft? you either like it or you don't. that will never change and there will always be a difference of opinion. this thread was meant to be a thread for those who could appreciate my cue and it's design differences from the original. but...leave it to some of you to destroy it. jimbo...you don't like "knockoffs" as you call them and everyone knows this. to those who appreciate my cue, thank you. to the ones who feel the need to turn every thread into an argument over "design theft", post your own argument thread and beat it into the ground!! it's like nobody can have a thread featuring a cue without it being ruined in this forum. why do we even bother posting? someone please post a thread dedicated to "design theft" for these guys so they can leave the other threads alone.

OK so what I'm gathering from this post is that neither of you like a team that can beat the Pats....

Although I hope to see a Pats Chargers AFC Championship game

P.S.

The Cowboys are on the clock

Actually I am to.. that would mean we took the Jets out and then we whacked the Steelers. If we can beat Pitt in the cold like '94, your game is a formality.. :)

Joe (---the result of 10 years of not having a playoff team to root for :p

am I the only person who wonders why jimbo has such conviction toward design theft? alot of people don't like it as I have seen and read here and elsewhere, and there are alot of people who don't care, but why jimbo? why do you not really join in on other conversations, but jump in head first on cue design theft issues? jimbo...do you even play pool or collect cues? do you even own a cue?

If I own cues or play pool has nothing to do with it. Cues in general have nothing to do with it. We can switch cues with any art it's interchangeable. I have a respect for artist and people who are creative. There is no need for anyone to steal the intellectual property of someone else. I do happen to love cues and want to see new and different designs, as long as people are going to steal there is nothing new coming out and there is no reason for people to push the envelope and come up with cutting edge work that I think we'd all like to see. Many people here have agreed with me, only a few disagree, I think the majority of people just accept it as something that has gone on for so long that they don't even think twice about it now. I think acceptance isn't the same thing as agreeing it's ok and that it should continue. I happen to know many cuemakers and I don't know any that are good who believe that stealing designs is OK. These guys don’t waste their time posting here and would be much better off not getting into a debate with people who have no appreciation or knowledge of what really goes into designing a cue. If anyone here has access to a top cue maker feel free to ask them in person how they feel about this practice and I think you’ll find that they almost all agree with my stance here. I have nothing to gain from what I have posted here, just something I think that needs to be discussed and I had some spare time, debate is always good.

I Really Think This Whole Discussion About Cue Theft Design Is Way Over Blown. First Of All,everything That Has Ever Been Invented In The Us Has Been Copied By Those Little Guys From Asia And Nobody Is Crying Foul. If Someone See's A Nice Looking Cue And They Cant Afford To Pay A Famous Cuemake 5000 Bucks To Make A Similiar Cue Then What Wrong With A Cue Like It Being Made For Say 1000 Bucks .there's Only So Many Designs Of Cues Out There And The Last Time I Checked There Were No Patent's On Cue Designs. If I Was The Owner Of A Real Balbushka Worth 20-30000 Bucks I Wont Care If There Was A Cheap Knock Off Made Because It Will Never Be Worth The Real Thing And Thats What Matters Unless Its Being Passed Off As The Real Thing.personally I Find It A Compliment To The Great Ones When A Cue Maker Like Skip Weston Makes A Similiar Cue And He Does Make A Nice Cue.do We Need Royalties Like Rock Stars Now!you Guys Can Beat A Old Horse To Death, and Jimbo Happens To Be A Fine Dealer Trying To Make A Living Like The Rest Of Us. If A Cue Plays Great Then That Will Be The Judgement On Whether People Continue To Buy A Cue From A Cuemaker Who Happens To Make Classic Cues.

You are a fool and I disagree with every thing you wrote there.
