Works fine when hitting shots, Pretty bad wobble on cue when installed, flopped around like a fish on land when you roll the cue. Cue arrow straight without it. Offcenter so one side of the joint was flush with cue, other side wasn't. Has giant Biltrite logo on the side.

After proof of concept with the Bilt rite, I contacted newsherrifintown here on AZB, who is custom building them. His also works great without the other issues. Only slight surprise on his was that it was semigloss natural wood finish. My cue and the biltrite are hi gloss.

Edited to add, after looking at the pics, its Balance Rite not bilt rite!

The facing on the ends is not done to precision therefore the cue wobbles. I tried it and thought it played well although I experienced the same problem.

My Balance Rite worked fine. No wobble to the cue, etc. (3/10" x 10 pin)

While I appreciated the additional length I didn't like the change in balance to my cue. It's not the Balance Rite's fault; it's just that during a normal stroke the heaviest four inches of the cue were beyond my grip (i.e. rear weighted).

It probably would have worked out fine if I'd taken more time to get used to it...but I'm the impatient type.

.

My arms are long enough to grip the cue behind the grip, on the butt, so the balancerite and other extension just puts the grip where my hand is, so I have not noticed any difference in balance.

Same as everyone else so far. My cue wobbles with the extender on but i dont care i know my shaft is straight .

I didn't know what to expect when i first got it, but it didn't take any time at all to get use to and i now like having it a lot.

Along with what people have said so far, try a search for Balance Rite. Plenty of threads in the last year.

I'm short guy and absolutely love the Balance Rite. I have two of them. I also have 4" Schuler extension for my SChulers. It fits in the middle as well.

Freddie <~~~ who needs Extenz?

I don`t have the balance Rite extender, but I do get my extender from Newsherrifintwn this week. I can post some thoughts and impression as soon as I`ve had a day to to play with it.

I used the extension all time, over 2-3 months and I feel good using it. I felt that it improved my game
In July 2014 I had a training with Darren Appleton, and he advised me, to get off the extension, because he thought I have the tendency to grip the cue too far back, and not getting a 90 degree angle when I start the stroke.
Now for 3 months I don't use it all time, only when I have a longer shot, and I don't want to use rack.

The reason I bought the Extension was to generate more power on my shots, but Darren fixed couple things in my stroke, so now I can get the power without extension.

Why not just have a shaft made to 32 inches or so? Are people ordering custom 62 inch cues split at 31 inches?

It's interesting to see everyone going thus way. If you do you need to send Earl Strickland a thank you note.

I bought one a while ago to use on a 58" cue, and for me, 62" is too long and really messed with my stroke. It felt like the tip kept coming up at the end of my stroke and thus my tip placement was much less accurate. I have no problem with a 60" cue, but the extra just 2" throws me off. I ended up selling it. I think the shorter 2.5" extensions that newsherrifintown sells here on AZ would be a better option (for me) if i decide to try one again. ps. The balance rite i had was aligned and faced properly and fit the cue perfectly and there was no wobble with it on.
