Balance Rite extension on old Huebler cue?

I assume the 5/16X18 balance rite extension should fit ok on about a 1980 era Huebler? I have one I bought new about 1980 that is a 57" cue. I have used longer cues for quite some time now but thought it might be fun to add the balance rite to my old Huebler making it 61" and maybe fun to be able to use again.
Has anyone tried the balance rite on old Hueblers?
Any fit issues?
OK with the nylon bushings?

Thanks for any input!

Full disclosure, I am not a cue smith or cue builder and my shaft is a custom shaft from Dickie Neighbors and not the original Huebler shaft, and my shaft has a brass insert. A 5/16x18 pin is a pretty common pin for cues and our Hueblers are no exception there.

Aside from the differences in feel the extension will make when attached to any cue. Use the same caution as when screwing on the shaft as with the extension and be sure not to over tighten, over stress or cross the threads. All the same rules apply, don't lean the cue against anything for periods of time and break it down for storage when not in use or hang the cue. I will say this, be careful at first until you get used to a longer cue so as not to bump into things as your moving around the table etc. I just don't see where any damage could come from the extension with normal use as compared to without, all common sense rules still apply.

If you're truly that concerned about it, don't just take my opinion on it, seek advice from someone who is certainly more qualified than I to give you solid input on the matter.

Thanks. Ya, I maybe should have asked this in 'ask cue maker' section. I already use the extension in other cues for 63" total and have used it since it first came out.
Just wasn't sure if anyone had any issues using it with the Huebler joint.
I suppose it should be fine.
Thanks!

If your old Huebler shoot as well as mine probably it does not need an extention

Thanks Ron! I really like my Huebler too! However, it is an old 57" model and I have used a much longer cue for quite some time. Not wanting to go back to 57" cue. The extension would make it 61" (closer to my current preference) and might be a fun way to make my old Huebler usable again!
Was only interested to see if anyone had any 'fitting' issues with the balance rite to Huebler 5/16X18 joint?
It should be fine I think.
Just thought I would quiz Huebler owners who might have tried it.
Thanks.

My Huebler is also old mid 80,s but really it shoots as good as any thing I own. and I really like it.

Do not use on original huebler shaft

I wouldn't use it on the original Huebler shaft, the insert is indeed a 5/16x18 but the depth is different on Pauls pins if you use it on an original shaft it could damage the insert, with that said if you want a original Huebler pin to convert the Extension
let me know I have them
if you have any questions let me know

I had one of the Buddy Hall Hueblers at one point and it was one of maybe 3 cues I ever owned that I considered self shooters.... You had to try and miss with the darn thing to keep from making balls.... I sold it in favor of something prettier.... Was a foreshadowing of my first marriage for sure LOL... Based on the thread options and standard mandrel sizes today I would think at most one side would be off 5 thoudanths or so... The balance rites are cheap... Just have the local repair guy match it up.....
