Dave or Bob or anybody that knows?
Why does a ball when banked reverse direction on the opposite rail? I thought it might be because it picked up running english which turns into reverse but that doesn't seem right because it becomes more pronounced when hit harder which in theory should lessen the spin imparted. Thanks for your time.

I think you notice it more for hard shots because the ball does not have time to pick up follow after the first cushion. The follow you get on softer shots tends to make the ball curve off the cushion and go longer. It may also be that the ball doesn't lose as much of its side spin when hit hard.
