Bangers be Bangers

My Cigar Club last night had a Meetup at local Sports Bar on Westside of Phoenix, the place had 4 or 5 Valley Cougar Tables, if they had Cigarette Burns they would have been a better fit to the dive bar thing.

As the night went on I went to use restrooms, apparently a pool league was playing. Everyone has the kill of a World Class Banger, but these people were customers, spending money, dropping a buck a game to play on junk tables, and having fun.

I am sure the Sports Bar Owner is happy to have this drinking crowd of money spenders in his business.

Now of these Pool players I am sure if I asked who is the Pool Player known as Magician, Lion, Kentucky Colonel, or Professor? No one would have any idea, and no one had great Cue, Cases, or Skill.

These Bangers also support people like Shoot the Bull, local Pool n Darts supply in PHX.

All you WORLD class players trashing these bangers, ever think you just a BETTER BANGER? If you have never won some Big Event like USOPEN, or one of the DCC EVENTS?.

Nobody is trashing anyone. I am as much of a banger (maybe a better banger) as can be. I decided to learn and work harder to play a respectable game or the best of my ability. Etiquette was the one of the first rules of the game. I’m enjoying learning from instructors and better level players. I can’t take the clubhouse bit anymore. But I went back to it a few times as I like some of the guys in the community clubhouse…Clubhouse pool and sports bar/barroom are not the same. As for my clubhouse it’s all social. It’s a horrible pool atmosphere when full. A majority are there to
Bullshit with each other. They cannot shut the fk up or stand still when a shooter is ready to execute. Come over sometime…enjoy the fiasco. All in all everyone is having fun. Do not have to be good to have fun.
2 tables in a community does not support pool. It’s a residential community sports bar. It’s not someone’s livelihood. I understand your point but that’s not the case here.
The purpose of this thread has no purpose. I should Report myself.

Edit. I ran the rack of 8 ball. Went out. It felt great seeing the pattern and going through it. I have been working on that. I did get cited for taking to long (in their minds). PSR is something a woman gets to these guys😂

So better player, think they are superior to BANGERS, IMHO if you not a TOP Player, your still BUSH LEAGUE Advanced Banger.

Pool to me is something I have been doing 65 plus years, never have been World Class, or event Short Stop speed. I enjoy the game like a good Scotch or Bourbon. it ids mentally challenging, and recreation. Don't gamble, as IMHO people who talk about Gambling are either Gambling or Stealing. So the real question is are you a Gambler, or Thief. We honestly if you a Thief, should have been doctor or Dentist with license to STEAL.

You forgot to mention "Lawyer".
Myself...I'm an upper lever C player. I play for enjoyment, love of the game. Do not gamble. I enjoy playing anyone that tries to make shot, Can shut the fk up while playing, stays off the phone or looking a sports game while playing and does not act out.

Correct I should have add L>lawyer also, b ut you got idea. Playing for fun, recreation, and mental stimulation is a good thing in in world.

Even the Best of the Best Pool Prosdont make peanut of a living compared to Pro Athletes in Real Organized Sports, or the WWE, or is it WWF.

Same for extremely talented musicians. Most of the time it’s a part time gig. Yes pool is fun. Like sex a person does not have to be good to enjoy it.

No such qualifications to make obvservations of the world class; even obswervations if appropriate. Big boobie principle. They are the model - the control group. Why would anyone want to emulate the flaws?

When you step into the world of clubhouse, senior center, community center pool — you will encounter pool with an array of personalities and opinions on the game that will test the boundaries of human patience and the most unbelievable stories imaginable - everyone was a world beater somewhere at sometime - but “ their eyes are no good any more” otherwise they would never miss😁

Good post. The truth. The best was we had a senior 9 ball league. One community said they were a group of X hustlers. Each player struggled to run 2 balls. 2nd best was a man tells me his daughter was a state champion. I asked where she learned … he says he taught her. I thought I’m going to be in for a treat when I play him. He had no idea how to grip, bridge or stroke.
Yes. The clubhouse / senior centers … have gone fishing… did not catch anything but have a lot of stories to tell.
I was not much better. I came onto AZB as a. 2nd class banger. I worked with 2 instructors… practiced drills … played with better level players and moved up. I’m now an A+ banger with a degree😂… wanna hear some Tales & Confessions?
