Banks on TV?

I probably missed this conversation, but in the rush to create a professional pool experience that was attractive to the public...was bank pool ever considered?

Except for break shots and maybe jump shots (which don't really have the makings for a whole match on their own), it seems like bank shots are the most appreciated by the crowd.

I know ESPN's toyed with ring games, and that makes sense, because it's the most likely format to result in pure offense. But, would the banks final at DCC attract any attention if it were televised on ESPN?

I doubt it as there are more safes than bank attempts from what i have seen of bank pool and that aint much so im no expert in this rare instance.

I'd love it.

However, the short runs and safety play don't work well on TV.

It would be cool if ESPN would package the late rounds of DCC banks, 9-ball, and straight pool. Beats steady fare of 9-ball.

Too many misses in Bank Pool for it to work on TV.

Believe me, I would like nothing more than to see some banks on ESPN, but the general public would not be able to appreciate how difficult it is to run even three banks in a row.
