8/27 Results

Duane: Any results on this tourney? How many players? Payouts? Thanks

Even though it was a beautiful day outside we did manage to pull in 28 players for the first event with the top four as follows:

1. Dave Coles - Beloit, WI
2. Duane Tuula - Rockford, IL
3. Fred Ryser - New Glarus, WI
4. Mike Brubaker - Freeport, IL

Several people called after the event wondering about the turnout and then said "I wish I would have made it". I'm looking for a better turnout next month.

Tournament was well run, with very liitle wait time between matches. It was a very nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon I will definitly be back. This series will definitly grow as more people here of it. I think more people will decide to take the ride from the Chicago area. (as long as gas prices doesn't go through the roof)

thanks for having a event like this.

What a great time we had yesterday. They got a total of 34 players and the winners are as follows INCLUDING the calcutta:

Jessie Bowman 1st $400 + $364 Calcutta
Tom McClusky 2nd $280 + $273 Calcutta
BOB ROMANO 3rd $160 + $182 Calcutta :D
Josh Johnson 4th $91
Jeremy West $50
Thee Vongsiri $50
Shane Johnson $35
Harold Robertson $35
TOP Woman Angie Voorhees $25

Angie and Tyler Voorhees have done a good job of fixing up the pool hall. From what I heard it was in a real diseray when they got it. Angie, Many of you know her as Angie Payne, has been playing for many years. She is one of the top amatuer women players. If you are in the area, stop by and support them. We will be back for the next event, next month!

Nice event + great players = Excellent Time

Fred ~ You should post the info for your event here. Bob wanted to know more info and I didn't have it. He would love to come to your place for a change.
