Bar Fly Terminolgy

These are a few of the terms that you seldom hear good players use, but they are very common amongst league players, ball bangers, bar flies etc

leave ( cue ball position, lay of the balls )

hand chalk ( baby powder )

high/low & small/big ( stripes & solids, 8ball )

dirty pool ( safety play )

6" ( imaginary and ficticious bar rule, as long as either the cue or the object ball does not advance 6" there is no foul )

titties ( pocket points )

pi$$ in/ $hit in ( balls pocketed that are unexpected, lucky shots )

lol thanks for the info.....LMAO i hear the term "tities" all the time among players of all leavels.....however i do not condone it as 90% of the time when I am playing I have my girlfriend with me.....she does not see the humor lol. just my rambling

I distinctly remember jimmy mataya doing the color commentary for a match years ago ( espn ? ) and he definetly infused some pool lingo on the broadcast . He was very entertaining ( as always ) and yes, he actually used the word "titty" ( quite matter of factly ) on more than one instance .
