Bar Table Cue ball on a 9 footer?

I had a weird dream last night that I bought a barbox cue ball and used it to practice on a full size table, got used to moving that heavy magnetized thing around, then went to a bar table and cleaned up.

Am I on to something here?

I've played on at least four 9' bar tables in New England. One style was a Valley bar box but 9' (not 8' which is common in central Mass or 7' which is the standard for national championship).

The other style was a furniture table with a bar table return made by a Massachusetts billiard table manufacturer.

They all used a very heavy oversized cueball as was the norm. None of the regulars could clean up at anything, even their own home table.

So it's a new old idea and certainly not common.

That ball gives me the most trouble, so I do keep one around. I only use it to practice if theres an occasional playoff game, but it does help.
