Lenexa Ks Side Pockets last I was playing the owner a game he called One Pocket One ball on the barbox. Using only one object ball that's starts frozen to the foot rail on the middle Diamond the cue is placed opposite frozen to middle diamond on the head rail. You call your side or pocket then proceed to hit the object ball and leave a tough shot for your opponent, you do not try and 4 rail the opening shot to go in, any ball pocketed in the wrong pocket or scratch is a loss. Seems leaving the object ball near a wrong pocket without scratching is strategy to encourage the incoming player to make contact w object ball without pocketing it and losing. Interesting game that could be helpful when you're down to one ball in tight matches, or when the table prices are high and you want to maximize your playing time. Great game might be able to play more than 2 players or for gambling purposes. A new one for me thought I might share Enjoy !!!

That game is known to bring some good action in a poolroom and a full rail.

Sounds interesting. How do decide who "breaks," or shoots first, and what does it mean to "call your side or pocket"?

Flip for first then alternate. You pick which bottom pocket will be your pocket just like normal one pocket. We play I a little different. On full size, cue ball anywhere behind line and 4 rail opening OK just no cut shot. Also not a loss for a pocketing I'm a dead pocket nor scratch - just spot up or ball penalty. Great action game!

It's played by many different rules. When played just like one pocket it's a very fun game.

One Ball

im going to introduce it to a few of my tournament players here for an afterwards gambling game and to some new players for cue ball control, maybe talk to Steve Wells for a funny Action/24/7 shirt. Possibilities seem endless
