I'm trying to remember the press release about these. IIRC, they're not made by Jim & Dave, they're made for them. Hence the huge price difference between these and "real" samsara cues. But i don't remember who's making them or where.
Be that as it may, if you want a SW hit, buy a SW. If you want a Samsara hit, buy one. No custom cuemaker makes a cue that hits just like someones elses work. And these semi-production BarCues absolutely will not hit like a SW, or even like a Samsara for that matter. You might be able to compare them to another decent production cue, like a Joss, Jacoby, Pechauer, modern-day Schon, etc.
But there is a reason why a Richard Harris sneaky pete goes for $1200.00+ and these are $400.00. Don't get me wrong - they might be nice cues, and the hit might be just what you're looking for. But don't compare them to a high end custom cue. You can only compare these to other cues in the exact same price range, then decide which cue offers the best overall value for you, given your specific needs, expectations, etc.
