Barefeet

I find a huge difference in my play, depending on the height of the table. b/c the table I practice on is a few inches higher than regular pool tables, it takes me quite a while for my stroke/stance to adjust to those extra 4 or so inches. to make things worse, I used to always play barefoot on my regular table. since ive started trying to get a little more competitive, ive found that wearing shoes on my practice table eases the transition a little bit to the lower tables.

ps. I am also tall.

A traveler comes to a fork in the road and does not know which way to go to reach his destination. There are two men at the fork, one of whom always lies while the other always tells the truth. The traveler doesn't know which is which. He may ask one of the men only one question to find his way. What is the question and which man does he ask?[/QUOTE]

Ask for a map???

Sensicore does work good in golf shafts. I've been on very slippery carpet also in leather soles and my back foot was always slipping on the break. I was thinking about rubbers that are worn in the rain...how do you think a "half" rubber would work if it slipped over your regular shoe back to the heel portion with some nubs on the bottom?

If anybody steals my idea and produces these...death will befall you.

Ah, just wear your soft spike golf shoes. ha ha ha

Barefoot is O.K. but bare$ss is even better!

I don't mess around and do things half-way, I like to just play in the nude; it gives me a sense of freedom if you know what I mean and really helps to shark my opponents :)

Due to the way I've been playing OSHA has stepped in and required any pool hall I'm at to be a hard hat and steel-toed boots zone. Lots of top-spin on the CB during the break...right?

Death to Curlers .... Death to Curlers ... no, wait, they do the opposite, putting a slippery piece of linoleum 'half-slider' on an ordinary shoe to get the best sliding performance (they use one on their sliding foot only). A similar 'half-grabber' would solve my problem. My back foot heel doesn't touch the floor; it's the ball of my foot that slides backwards. Go for it drivermaker, I'll test em out for ya !

PS The curling cash season is winding down. The top rink has about $75K (Canadian) in winnings (divide by 4 for individual winnings, these are team totals), next was about $60K, then $50K, and perhaps 8 more rinks above $20K. Their last 'tour' (?) bonspiel is this weekend in Humbolt (?) Saskatchewan (pop ~ 5,000) . Total prize money is $100K.

If you happen to visit here, I hope you don't smoke. After going outside for a smoke nobody would see the 'real you' for a while ...
