Are there any BCA instructors or equivalent near Ottawa? I don't mind traveling but I'm looking to get some basic lessons to hopefully get rid of some bad habits. I've asked around the pool community but I can't seem to find a good instructor. The closest I've found so far is Alain Martel in Montreal but I'm not sure if he's actually an instructor or more of a professional player.

I know of three BCA instructors or ex-BCA instructors in the Ontario area... Ed Ball (Scarborough), Kenny Chen (Kitchener/Waterloo), and Grace Nakamura (Toronto).

I haven't taken lessons from any of them, so I can't comment on that. I have played both Grace and Ed - they both beat me, what can I say? I hear that Kenny plays pretty sporty as well.
Yep, I should of phrased that differently. I know who Alain is, I just don't know if he is a certified teacher. Being a good player and a good teacher are very different. I have lots of very good players here willing to teach me, but I'd prefer to get professional lessons if there was someone from the area. Thanks for the link.
