RD, we had been kicking around the idea of starting a league up here in the NW for several years. Finally, a group of folks from Everett decided to start a new league in the Northern part of Seattle last year and wanted us to participate up here in B'Ham/Whatcom County.

Skagit County which is just south of us maybe 20 minutes joined in too as we did as well this past fall.

To get things started easily we put together a 9-ball league with 6 teams of 3 players -- it's running very smoothly -- we are in our second session and I believe we can at least run three (3) sessions every year without any problems out of our Pub (in-house w/4 tables).

By us having a core of 3 player teams (9-ball) it should be fairly easy to field a (5 person) team for any 8-ball event -- assuming everyone is easy going and able to get along with the rest of the players in your field of teams!?

I wish you the Best of Luck -- I say, GO FOR IT RD!!!

Man how did you find this post it was a year old LOL we did start a league but my co operator got his panties in a wad so I handed it to him 2 months ago he shut down the league. I was asked to restart it so it was run right but choose not to have another headache ...

 LOL didn't look at the date :grin-square:

Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you guys :o

It's been a good thing for our Pub -- helps us out on Wed. nights for sure!

Since it's an "in-house" league I run it and do the stats, etc. For now it's still FUN and, I know it's helping our business....especially this summer when everyone wants to be outside enjoying the nice weather

would you like to restart it again? Maybe under the umbrella of a bigger league like Odessa. I'd like to see lubbock, abilene, and san angelo get a good league going to have regional tournaments.
