Anyone know the facts between these two organizations? Is one for Pro,s and the other amatures? Thanks!

Both of the organization you are asking about are primarily amateur organizations. However, the BCA has strong "pro" ties. We are a partner in promoting the Derby City Classic. Also, we are bringing back the US Open One Pocket event in November of this year - in conjunction with a national amateur 9-ball event. For more info go to playbca.com.

I think it is important to remember that (hopefully) everyone is really trying to better the everychanging landscape of pool.

If you have any questions about the BCA, please call me at 702-719-7665 (office phone) or my cell at 812-987-1461.

By Pool Players Assoc. I presume you are talking about the USPA-you can log on to their site based in Florida it is run by Mike Sprinkle. Mike can be reach through his web site http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Bleachers/8124/ you'v heard from Mark Griffen the owner of the BCA Pool League, also go to American Cuesports Affiliation (http://www.americancuesports.org/) and check them out as you will be seeing league affiliated with them poping up.

There is no significant differences between BCA pool leagues USPA & ACS at this time, the real difference comes usually in the local area which is your league operator. The BCA and ACS at this time have the most open policies regarding who can be a league operator and how local league operations are run. Basically anything is acceptable if it is acceptable to your players. The trick is finding an honest and responsible operator. Don't be put off by negative comments from other local players who don't play in somebodys league anymore because of this or that. Talk to those who have played in that league for more than a year and who have played in other leagues in your area. This is how you'll find the best league operator for you. Some times you just have to jump in and try it for a year.

be of good cheer
