Actually, you did not help by not first contacting the powers to be before you started whining on here.

I sure would have asked the powers to be before I opened a can of worms that wasn't needed, but hey , you got the attention you wanted.

You see duckie, you do this all of the time. You say things that you know nothing of. You don't know if I have contacted "the powers to be" previously or not. Stick with the things that you know about like CTE can't help you.

I did fairly well this year in the seniors division and unfortunately I will be moved up next year, to the SUPER SENIORS. Watch out Randy!

I hope by the time I reach "seniors" age I might have found a stroke... :p

(instead of having one, perhaps... tho the way I'm shooting lately, it may induce one!)

Come on Charley. Carlo joined us this year and finished 4th. The Super Seniors is full of old farts that play great. The have more moves than Allied.

I think having different classes for the two senior events diminishes the integrity of the event but that's just me. I don't want to win a Senior's event with the worst players in my division. I want to compete against any senior who is not a professional player, PERIOD and not a repeat winner of this event. (No offense Tom. You are DA MAN!)

Dumbing-down the Senior events for those who compete just for the camaraderie, the subculture and the love of the game is not the way to go imo.

AMATEUR SENIOR EVENTS should be about your AGE, period.

Let's see now JoeyA, as old as you are, why do you want to compete?

1) For the money?
2) For the fame?
3) For all the hot chicks?
4) For bragging rights?
5) For the glamorous lifestyle?
6) To getchya pictcha on the cover of the Billiard Digest? ( no thrill like it!)
7) For the challenge? Well, you got me there. That's a worthy reason.

Tell me JoeyA why should seniors be separated at all? Not because of simple age. It's the infirmities that accompany age. If I may quote you,
" I contacted Bill Stock and told him about my deteriorating condition and I have been demoted to the lowly ranks where I belong."

Maybe we should introduce an event for Handicapped folks instead of old folks.

Or would that be ," Dumbing it down," a little too far for your sensitivities.:kma::rotflmao1: :poke:And I mean that In the friendliest manner.

OK Alex, I pick #7. :p

Newbie at the Super Seniors

Played Seniors and got moved to Masters and I played Masters a few years and didn't cash although was a shot away one year.

I emailed Bill Stock and was reclassified to Open so I could play my first Super Seniors this year. It's a great event full of experienced players including many champions. I should say experienced with a capital "E". :)

I see no problem with letting anyone "of age" play in Super Seniors or Seniors.

I think BCA is improving and is better than ever. I played my first BCA National in 1979 in Louisville and returned about 2000.

I am grateful to still be able to play!

ps - full disclosure : I am an SPF and BCA Instructor in San Francisco.

Welcome to the Seniors, you old fart.

BTW, I agree, the BCA Pool Leagues continues to improve year after year.

At least that's what the local league players say......
