Hmmm... I cashed in Open Singles last year, but with all of the previously-listed-masters now playing in the open as advanced players,
looks like it's going to be a LOT tougher this year.

Oh well... there's always the Mini's. :thumbup2:

Yes

Can't wait for this event..Hey Ric I noticed the no master or grandmasters in the open/mixed team...but then it says each team is allowed one advanced player. Can you explain this for me please?

Following The Format For Vegas

Zach,

After the BCAPL NAtionals last year, there was a change to the divisions.

I believe that Ric is following those policies for our state event.
see this link for a detailed breakdown.

http://playbca.com/Leagues/LeaguePolicies.aspx

In a nutshell, there no Master rated players allowed in the Open divisions.

Advanced Division can have 1 master player

Master division can only have 1 Grand Master player

They are trying to even the field.

An advanced player is someone that could be considered a Master player but due to circumstance isn't really consistant enough to hang with true Master rated players. There is a process for players that were rated Master to petition the BCAPL to go down to advanced level.

For instance if you had a really easy bracket and under normal circumstances wouldn't have done as well, you can request being dropped down.

Yes there will be Many Minis.... :) But maybe you will be able to play in the division longer.. One never knows who will be having a 'good day or bad day'.

Time is running out for the dead line for late entries.

We are also working on something special for April 7th & 8th.. Will post more on that soon..

See you all in Texas!!

Hey Ric, it would nice if you could set up a pay pal or credit card account with instant conformations and a way to fill out the application from the Bad Boy's web site so we don't have to worry about the mail process.

Looking forward to seeing you and Bonnie!

I'll be there : )
Kinda like Papa Red said, pay pal with instant confirmation would be cool.
Sending through the mail is kind of a toss up... did you get it?? Did you not??? LOL
As of now, mine has been sent, but not taken out of my account : ))

Looking forward to it : )

Chris will be home Tuesday to start doing the Texas sign ups, we will be finishing a tournament tomorrow. Give a couple of days to process stuff then e mail her to confirm your entries.

How many played in the singles last year? And can you recall the top payout?

As well for the teams how many and the payout please. We are borderline on bringing a team, just wanted alittle info.
