Beat Them to Death!

I have been playing pool for 42 years and when I play league, tournaments, and gambling I just don't want to win but I want be beat my opponent so bad that the next time I play them they will remember the beating I gave them. Are any other Azers feel this way?

Don't get me wrong I have had my share of beatings from opponents but when they beat me I can't wait to play them again. Are any other Azers feel this way also?

Depends on who I'm playing. The hustler in me, with certain people, says "only beat them enough so think they can win" so they will keep playing me. Others I don't like, I want to make them look foolish and frustrate the crap out of them, so it's "run until I need to duck, duck hard, run some more".

Plus, if you beat the crap out of 'em, they're gonna ask for some ridiculous spot next time they play you.
 
I have to say it depends on the person. Nothin' like a grudge match and beating someone that has given you a beating in the past, along the lines of 'student surpassed the teacher, young grasshopper'.....I think that's just the nature of being competitive. If I could hold my own against someone I know is just a better player than me (someone I know I had no chance of beating), I still look upon it as a silent win.....but to defeat someone that you always respected as a good player/better player, gotta love it!
 
I never stall when I'm gambling since to me its another form of stealing. I understand in the pool world hustling is an accepted practice but it's just not for me.
 
If my opponent is better than I am, I really enjoy raising my level of play any which way I can. I'm pretty gifted with hooking people up and there is no sweeter reward than hooking someone over and over and over again that would absolutely demolish me if they ever got a shot. I've won many a match by hiding the ball on certified serial killing monster shot makers. Bonus part to that slimy, evil, wretched manner of play is if said monster has a loose tether on their emotions. SSsssssssweet sweet rage, how it nourishes me. Even if I screw up and leave them open to finally get a shot on something, they are sometimes so pissed off that they gork the ball... and I hook them up again even if I do have a wide open shot.

If my opponent is weaker, I just try to shoot slow and deliberate so they can not say that they aren't learning anything. I still crush them into the ground, but at least they got an education in the process.

Always leave your opponent with some small measure of hope....or else at least cab-fare home.
Never reveal how strong you are but always either get out or leave no shot opportunity.
Depression will soon arrive and they'll quit sayin' "Nice shot." when you pocket a difficult
shot....let them believe they could have beaten you if it wasn't for....blah, blah, blah. That's
how I want my opponent to feel and behave but it doesn't always go that way.....but when
it does you genuinely feel like "King of the Hill" which was a fun game to play as kids.
