Has anyone used it before? How is it in a cue? Easy to work with?

I am almost positive it has been used in house cues in decades past. Another name for it is massaranduba. It is sometimes used for decking material. Physical properties are generally good for cues I think, but IMO unremarkable.
I bought some 4/4 pieces to try out as point stock some time. I have some curly pieces (rare I believe) that if were large enough might make for a nice handle or front, but they are 4/4 sticks as well.

It just looks like if you can find the right peices, you may be able to get a a cheaper version of the Snakewood look. I am probably wrong, but I have seen some peices that have great marbling and others that are quite bland.
