That's right 29.1. Try it you may like it for a change of pace.

One rack of balls on the foot spot as usual and another rack of balls on the head spot. All the rules of 14.1 still apply except one. At least there's only one that we found a need to modify (so far). If the last object ball (the 30th) interferes with racking, it is spotted in the middle of the table instead of on the head spot - because that spot is already taken.

Sometimes the extra balls get in the way and block shots and sometimes the extra balls give the shooter extra options. In the latter case, you can expect higher runs.

If you try it, please report back to this thread on how it went.

So when only one ball remains on the table you rack another 14 ball rack at both ends of the table, or do you rack a full 15 balls at the head spot and a 14 ball rack (missing the head ball) at the foot spot? Sounds kind of interesting and would certainly seem to cut down on the long shots one would normally need to execute.

You rack all the remaining (29) balls. 14 at the foot spot and 15 at the head spot. So each time it's 29.1.
