Hi everyone, I picked up a Cuesmith Mid size repair lathe a couple of months ago and have begun doing minor things to my own cues and a few of my friends cues. I have been basically getting supplies on an as needed basis and i want to start to get some what of an inventory of tips, ferrules and other stuff. As i dont have a ton of cash just to go out and buy a wide variety of things. Could y'all be kind enough to give some guidance on what to get to start out or what not to get? Any suggestions would be greatfull.

Thanks
Mike

I make a mixed bag of 20 ferrules for $50. This will get you ready for most any ferrule repair and once you see what you are using most of you can order mulitples of one type of ferrule. We also sell tips in bags of 10 so you can have many different types of tips without having to pay for 50 of each at once. We carry pins, inserts, black phenolic and a lot more now also. As far as other items go you can save a $$ or two here and there by ordering from different places, but by the time you pay shipping on small orders coming from all over you won't really be saving much.

There you go! Looks like you found the easiest way to get stocked up without buying full boxes. Stick with Chris Hightower for the starter packages and then beyond that as you grow. You can't go wrong. Also, if he doesn't have it, he'll tell you where to get it.

As you get futher along, there will be more suggestions as to where to get whatever you need. But, in the mean time, you can't go wrong with CH.
