Kurt just won the US – Open 9-Ball in Minneapolis

after some small dissapointments in the EK, where he didnt take the medals had wished for, this is a greath achievement!!

GOGO my small little country :D

(ps before u all start to spam. this was in the weelchair department)

http://www.kurtdeklerck.be/ is his personal website. ;) check out some results of him, and maybe america will finaly know where the heck is that small litle country called belgium :D )

woohooo (for once, proud im a belgium :D )

hehe :) wafles :p thats the only thing u think about :D

funny part is, we should be more famous from our brussels sprouts and our chocolat and beer (many times best beer in the world).

gogogo kurt :D

i hope some other top players will get the sponsership they deserve to play in some international tournaments. we have greath talent, but we dont have the $ to capitalise on it.

but its just a matter of time :D

nice to see you know where belgium is ruthless :D

Solartje - I do wish you all the best of luck and would enjoy seeing players from Belgium and a lot of the other smaller countries hit the tours.

Take care :)

isnt the US open later this month?

Solly's statement that it was for 'Wheelchair' competition. Congrats Solly ... All of those guys and gals deserve a big round of applause just for having the heart to play. It is not easy for them, and I always enjoy
watching them.

Sol,
Actually you guys are more famous for your billiards than anything else. The Ceulemans are just fabulous.

How did you escape billiards and find pool????

Well...Belgium is famous for many things.., billiards, guns, diamonds, lace, chocolates, waffles, french fries (frites), beer ( about 550 different kinds), brussels sprouts, endives, linguistic turmoil, and the best lit highways on the planet!

RUK,
Well, I'll have to disagree...I've been hanging around the pool hall for several years now, and have heard no discussions about endive....but that beer reference is interesting, might have to check that out.

hehe ive got to agree.

if u look from space, belgium is just one BIG light point.

wbm, who said i escaped?

:D ive played recreational billiard (french , same rulez as 3c but without the 3cussion rule) for some years with my dad and uncle. i was a very small kid back then. i used to play in the summer when we would go to portugal.

then i played for a good 9years recreational snooker. once/week for a hour just to talk to a friend, and have some beers and play some snooker.

then after a big fight with a ex -gf, i needed something where i could work my angre away, and i found how RELAXING it could be to slam balls a 35mph in the pocket. do that for an hour, and ull feel relaxed. i then discovered this forum, and a friend brought me to a national championship qualifications. then i was hooked and been playing and posting here for a year. :D and now its become a sport more then a recreational thing. its becoming an adiction, a way of life, a way of thinking.
