Beloit, WI - The Carom Room - $1000 Added - Jan 10th - "No Masters"

Well, the forecast changed late and we did get a bit of snow early Saturday morning and then again between 10 am and 1 pm . However, 81 players did make it to this event with over $7,000 in payouts!!!

Check the Carom Room website soon for the updated results.

Just wanted to say thanks!

This really is a great tournament...and I didn't even cash...the payouts are great, the expense is minimal, and I can honestly say I didn't meet one person there who wasn't just as nice as they could be and Duane and the other tournament directors do a great job of keeping things moving! If you're looking for arguably one of the best bar table tournaments in the midwest, it's worth the drive! I will definitely be going back.

Thanks again to Duane and everyone who put this on...it really is a pool tournament for the players and not just something for someone to try and make a quick buck on. If you go, you won't regret it!

Great tournament

This was the third or fourth time I have been to The Carom Room in Beloit and everytime it has been a "class" event. Very well ran from start to finish. I was a bit surprised that with all the snow, that there was still 81 players.

There are so many things that are good about these events. Pro-rated money added, since there was more than 64 players they add MORE than the $1,000 added that was advertised. The calcutta that Dave kept saying was a little "light" still brought in around $4,000. Well maintained equipment, balls were all cleaned before the tournament started, plenty of space between all the tables. The food at the Carom Room is top notch, grilled chicken was as good as I've had, especially at a pool room.

If you haven't been to one of these events, be sure to make it to one, you won't be disappointed.

This tournament is awesome. Dave Coles and Duane Tuula are players and they know how to run a tournament for the players. I've been playing for 15-20 years and it is by far the best tournament I have ever played in. You can walk into this tournament and for $35, which includes table time, have a shot at winning $700 to $1100 for a ONE DAY tourney, and this does not include what you could win in the calcutta. The "no masters" tourney is very tough and the OPEN event is some of the toughest competition in the Midwest. Great job guys!!!!
