This is a "no masters" 9-ball tournament that features a race to 7, no handicaps, big calcutta and $35 entry fee. There is a limit of 96 entries.

All regular events are $1000 added prorated on 64 players. We have filled the first two no master events this season so the added money has been $1500.

The Carom Room has brand new Diamond tables, good food and plenty of parking.

Please check out the flyer:

The field is limited to the first 96 paid entries. Make sure to pay in advance, get there early or have someone pay your entry to guarantee your spot.

Doors are open at 10:00 am for free practice. Calcutta starts at noon.

If you are one of those "borderline" players who is not sure if you qualify for a "no masters" event then please contact me via pm or call Dave at the Carom Room to confirm your eligibility.

This is a barbox tourney and uses alternate break format. Should be plenty of great matches :)

Over $6,000 in the calcutta for each of the last 3 no master events!! Come & get some of the action.

Pool supplies, cue repair, shirts, jackets and of course great food :) Stop in to check it out for yourself.

Anyone can leave their entry fee with Dave in advance. If you can't do that then mailing a check/money order works too. I'm not sure who will be attending the Oshkosh tourney this weekend but if you find a Beloit local you can trust (like Carlos) then that works too. Getting to the tourney early works. We've been filling just after 11:30 so far. As a last resort you could call Dave and see if he can/will take PayPal.

Addresses and phone numbers are on the flyer in the first post of this thread.

In order to play in the finals events you need to qualify by playing in at least one prior tourney. This will be #3 in the no master series out of 6. Make sure you get qualified!!

Most everyone seems to like the new Diamond tables with "pro cut" pockets and Super Aramith Pro balls on Simonis 860HR cloth. Makes for great playing conditions.

All results, payouts & player lists will be posted on the Carom Room website in the tournament section within a couple of days after the tourney. Please feel free to check out the previous results link in the first post.

prepay?

Can we send a check to Carom Room to prepay? We're driving from 2 hours away and don't want to gte refused.

Mark, you seem to be interested but obviously don't read the threads. This is a no masters event. Jimmy has played here in Beloit and knows if he can play or not. You can ask him yourself. Art is pretty well known in these parts since he used to stay in the area and he is not eligible for any "no master" events.

You also asked in another thread if this tournament is worth it? Please check out this link (that is also mentioned in the first post of every tournament thread):

Player lists, payouts and all results are posted for all to see.

He has not been playing for a long time.

Thanks for answering my question. Partially.

Not since Sunday when he got beat out in 4th place in the MO State Tourney... sounds like he is still hitten' 'em pretty good.

We also have an open tournament (next one is 11/28) that you can send anyone you want to play. No restrictions. No handicaps. Good calcutta.

Tournament tables available starting at 10am for free practice. Calcutta starts at noon. No shooting on the tournament tables during the calcutta. First round starts immediately after the calutta.
