Wow

LOL! I was just telling someone Saturday that the Carom Room "No Masters" event was the strongest Non-Open event I know of in the country! I am seeing some heavy hitters on the paid list! I am going to be in Milwaukee that weekend, I may try to make the tournament... It's either pool or schmoozing with friends that I have not seen in over a year.

Still 70 spots left!! Seems like the last 25 disappear in a day or two. Highly recommend getting your entry fee in early for this one if you want to play ;)

Don't get shut out  Pay your entry early and just be here by noon for the start of the calcutta.

Doors open for free practice on the tournament tables at 10:00 am. Table lights out, no shooting on tournament tables during the calcutta that starts at noon. If you are paid but not present by noon you may loose your spot in the tourney. Please check-in when you arrive!

For those "no master" players who may be in attendance this weekend for the open 10-ball make sure to pay your entry fee early for the 20th

Diamond bar tables, Simonis 860 HR cloth and Super Aramith Pro balls make for great playing conditions

If you haven't been to the Carom Room yet now is the time!!

Picked up a few more entries over the weekend. Updates coming

After playing a whole 10-ball tourney this weekend I must say this is the game of the future!!

I thought the 10-ball went really well for the "open" event this past weekend. Looking forward to more 10-ball tourneys. Any questions from the "no masters" players??

Does the "incoming player has the option" rule also apply on a plain missed shot, or just on a slopped in ball?

In that sense I would say only on a slopped ball.

If the only ball made is something you did not call it is considered "illegally pocketed" and the incoming player has the choice. That includes calling "safety" and pocketing a ball.

Duane, so you can play a safe and so long as no balls go in the incoming player must take the shot where it is and dosen't get an option. If then the incoming player shoots and dosen't hit the intended ball. The first player gets ball in hand. If the same safe is played and the incoming player calls a pocket and hits the intended ball but it goes in a different pocket then called, the first player has the option to take the shot or have the shooter shoot again. If the intended ball is hit and another ball goes in then the first player who played the original safe has the option. Is that correct ?

Come on down and play a little 10-ball. Full field of 96 pays $1270 for first on your $35 entry  Cacutta payouts are even higher  Great odds on your money.
