We are using the BCAPL rules. Check out www.playbca.com and the rules are available under the download tab as complete rulebook.

The Carom Room tourneys do allow phenolic break tips and do not use a 3-foul loss of game rule.

First 10-ball tournament ever at the Carom Room!

Be a part of the history and maybe even make a little too ;)

What kind of rules?

Duane,

Are you gonna play the 10 ball with 9 ball rules? Or is it like the pros do it with call the pocket?

We also use "rack your own" along with payball does not count in the 2 corner pockets on the rack end.

We will provide a set of 10-ball rules on the day of the tourney for anyone that needs a copy :thumbup:

Here's the main rule to remember:

4.7 Illegally Pocketed Balls

1. A ball is illegally pocketed if it is:
a. pocketed on a safety, including the lowest numbered ball;
b. pocketed in other than the called pocket;
c. pocketed on a shot in which the called ball is not legally pocketed;
2. If the 10-ball is illegally pocketed it is spotted. All other illegally pocketed balls remain pocketed.

4.8 Opponent's Option

If you illegally pocket any ball, your opponent has the option to:
a. accept the table in position, or;
b. require you to shoot again.

Simple, slop balls work just like a push-out!!

Still rotation but call shot eliminates some of the "slop" of 9-ball. I really like the new rules published by the BCAPL :thumbup:

Any pros looking for a tourney? Send 'em our way. Open means anyone of any playing caliber is allowed to play. No handicaps. Great odds on entry fee plus great calcutta :thumbup:

$1000 added money based on 64 players. More players equals more added money up to $1500. Bring some friends ;)

10-ball on the break in the back 2 (rack end) corner pockets does not count!! The 10-ball will be spotted and the breaker continues shooting. If the path to the lowest numbered ball is obstructed by spotting the 10-ball the 10-ball will not be spotted until the next shot.

Hey Duane, do you have anything set up with any local hotels? If not wich one is closest/best?
