Beloit, WI - The Carom Room - $1000 Added - Sept 27th

Hi pro Tom mccluskey here! please understand dave is trying to do the best he can. It is a system that will always have flaws. If you exclude a group of people from tourney's (masters) it is not as cut and dry as you think. Sometimes people play over there head and make other people think they better then their normal speed. I know I have done well in some tourneys I had no business doing well in. I think that can be said for alot of people. I'm not saying greg is not a good player and dave will do his best to make sure his tourny's are fair, but understand that when you handicap a tourney there will always be someone unhappy. It is your job to not question dave and just go out there and beat the players you think should be masters! your game will improve greatly when you play people you think are better than you. good luck and thanx dave for geat tourny's

Sounds like...

These sound like awesome tournaments. They remind of of some of the big bar tournaments that used to occur way back when I still lived in Milwaukee. Too bad I can't play anymore, I would make the effort to be there and try to relive old times. Really sucks to have MS and not be able to control my arm anymore. Guess I will just have to be a railbird now!

I wasnt trying to bash the tourny. The point I was trying to make was I was going to attend the event but it was a no masters tourny. When I hear NO MASTERS will be allowed to play I feel it means no masters at all.Like I said in the above post I stand corrected and ty Duane for clearing it up IM SRY I EVEN POSTED ON THE SUBJECT. Congrats to Dave and the carom room your doing a excellent job down there.

And for the "no masters" events if you are unclear of your eligibility to play please feel free to pm me exactly who you are and I will let you know asap. The "open" events have no restrictions on ability or status.

Duane

The first "open" event is almost here!

Make your plans now to be part of the history of this great series of events.

You got a estimated guess on what your getting for numbers for the tourny.

Sure, I'm guessing one more if you make it

This will be the first event of the "open" series so I'm hoping to at least match the "no masters" number of 47. I know of at least 12 players from that tourney who said they will play in the open event. Add in all the local players who will play open events and the phone calls and messages received and who knows! If we can bring in a few from Milwaukee, Chicago and the Quad Cities then it could be a monster monthly event for open players.

With all scheduled events you run into date conflicts with other nearby events. Having one no master event and one open event per month for six consecutive months should allow everyone the opportunity to come and play.
