The entry fee is $25.
Grand prize is 2 round trip tickets on Air Tran Airways (valued at $1000)
2nd prize is a KK Leather Cue Case (valued at $1000)
3rd prize is 2 night hotel and dinner package at Downstream Casino and resort (valued at $500)

any ideas?

Any ideas on what would make this tournament I am hosting a big success? Any imput would be great.:rolleyes:
 
Cash prizes would surely be a big plus - many wouldn't be able to use some of those prizes.

I'm already booked for another tournament in Springfield on that day.
 
Thanks for the imput. Where are u playing in Springfield on that day?

It is a benefit tournament, so all the cash is going to ALS (Lou Gerhigs Disease). Otherwise I would offer cash prizes. :smile:
 
Just at a little tavern on the north west side. Sort of a biggee though as that tournament will be the final for a 6 week event and have some substantial prize money.

Understood about the cash and knew that when I posted, but you know the pool player's motto. :grin:

I would suggest you put out fliers at Dennis' Place on Sunshine, Billiards on St. Louis, Just One More out by Republic, My Place on Battlefield, Sharky's on Glenstone, Knighttime (sp?) on west Division, and any of the other pool player haunts you can come up with.

There are still plenty of spots available to win great prizes. Get signed up, or just show up at 11am at F&H. :smile:
 
Cue Case

I just saw a pic of the KK Leather Cue case to be given away and it is beautiful! I will post a pic later.

Tournament

I wish I could be there. Please post results of your tournament as I would love to see your turnout, etc.

We are a smoke-free (not a bar) pool hall with all Diamond tables, and we are looking very strongly into doing a similar tournament for American Cancer Society and Relay for Life. The name of our place is actually Break-n-Run Billiards, and I would like to steal your title and call ours "Break-n-Run against Cancer or something like that.

Good luck with the tournament. If you make it an annual event, I'll try my best to be there to donate my entry fee.
