Benson Custom Cues? Any Good?

A guy I know is offering to sell me a "Benson" cue. He says its a custom cue but I never heard of Benson cues and couldn't find any info on the web about them. Doesnt mean that there's no such thing but does anyone know about these cues? Thanks.

Benson was cuemaker based in the Washinton state area.
I saw some of his work at the old Best Billiards in Sta. Ana, California.
I guess he stopped making cues.

I don't know if he is still making cues.
He used 3/8 x 10 pin, flat faced joint with a short
stainless collar ( about 5/8" ). Good, stiff hitting cues. Ferrule
material included some Elkhorn and other organics.
