Bert Kinister work outs?

Thanks for the info Jeff. Three months sounds like a good plan for me too.
I need to call Serge and set it up. Probably in a couple weeks we'll get to it. It has to be before the end of the month because the ACS state tourney is that last weekend. Steve said you had some big wins for him in last session's playoffs. Great job!
I'm gonna text Jeff now and ask him when he will be free for the AZBKing thing.

Thanks for the kind words. Last session was alot of fun. I think you'll enjoy the videos on demand. Let me know about your match with Serge, I'd love to sweat that. Next time I talk to Bert I'm gonna have to get a referral fee for all this advertising:)

I've got 3 of Kinister's videos. He seems to be a great instructor but the videos are poorly done. The videos I have are pretty much just taped practice sessions with one of his students. Nothing like the Dr Dave or the new Mika Immonen videos

Right, but which ones had the useful information. I saw the first 2 Immonen DVD's. Awesome production value, like a movie, but nothing there to help one's game. Mostly him running racks. Kinnister can teach a hungry man how to fish, not just how to cook it. Besides he is a character, on the level of Strickland and makes learning fun "ding dong daddy I got the cash!"

BTW I have his first three 9 ball videos that I can trade for other instructional materials or let go for cheaps. I PM'ed the original poster to see if he's interested, he'll get first crack.

I've seen about five of his videos and I surely picked up a lot. Might not be for everybody but I didn't like Mrs. Castro back in highschool either, but I couldn't say I didn't learn any chemistry from her...

I'd like to thank the original poster "trob" for bringing up berts name i had pretty much forgotten how much berts drills helped me 11 or so yrs ago. I went out today and did some of the drills i remembered and i started getting into a groove almost immediatly.

I did the one i think he called the 9 pointed star? Wish i could work that cuetable i would post a pic of the setup. And well i did a couple other drills like shot #1 from the workout i remember he said if your hitting that shot good you will hit all shots good so i always remembered that one. Then a 3rail cueball back to the center shot.

I left outta there feeling more in stroke and in control of the cueball more than i have felt in awhile. A lot is said about aiming but i think cue ball control is just as crucial (sp)? lol! Well anyway good stuff.

Hey BigDaddy it's pretty impressive if you can run the 9pointed star. I have my hands full with the 6 pointer. How many balls can you run on that? I'm happy with anything over 10 on the 6 pt. so the 9 looks damn scary.

james i think i ran the 9 pointed star completely maybe 3 times yesterday not sure as i was'nt keeping track but when i did'nt get completely out it was always because of the 3ball i would get to big of an angle on the 3 which put me way outta line on the 4ball i could make the 4 but getting on the 5 correctly after being outta line for 2 shots is very tough so i usually missed the 5.

But don't focus to much on running it just look at it as a workout for cue ball control it's an awesome drill! I very rarely walk away from a practice session feeling like i improved but doing this drill made me feel confident in my cue ball control.

Do the shot #1 from the workout a few times first maybe that will help groove your stroke for the star workouts.

I'll have to look up the pattern for the 9 balls. When I do the 6 pointer I run the first five in order, then spot up five more randomly and continue running out in rotation. I wasn't aware there was a set position for every ball.
