Best Billiard Balls

I just recently got a set of the dynaspheres and they all weighed 169 except two balls that weighed 168. For the money they are a great deal as I have payed 3x more for other sets and these are just as good.

i have most all the good sets and ive found after playing for a half hour with any, your mind adjusts to your preconceived notions about the balls.
and they all play fine even the older cheaper name brand sets.
a top brand cueball does pay to have, but with all of them you adjust quickly if your mind will let you.

and the danasphere bronze is a great set for home as they also stay very clean. and can turn into you spare set if you decide later on to pay more for a name.

In your opinion, what's ugly about them?
The Dynasphere Bronze balls look nice. The set with the triangle around the numbers and the sets with grey balls better come with a free bowl of soup....................Wait, that wouldn't be enough to get me to buy them either. I just like traditional looking ball sets, green cloth, and wood shafts I guess.

You will notice over time they stay much cleaner than the aramith's.

Went to Dynasphere website and found a local retailer. I'll check them out.

Wow. Never heard about metal nails in the pockets. Do you have any suggestions how to prevent any similar damage like this from occurring? Maybe stuff some old socks down in the bottom of the pockets?
I have a set of dynosphere bronze and love them. They are very nice looking balls and play well. I've used them for a year now without any problems. As far as nails in pockets, the pocket backing has to be tacked in with nails which leaves the head of the nail exposed. That is an issue on my Brunswick Hawthorne table. I put a piece of self stick Velcro on the back of the pocket that takes care of that issue because I don't want any scratches on my pool balls.

If someone wants an Aramith Tournament ball set to practice with, I have an extra set upgraded with an Aramith measles ball in overall good condition with a tray and no box. Message me and I'll take pictures.

The bronze were not all that easy to find. Seems like the silver are available, didn't like the colors of those either.

You shouldn't have nails in the back of your pockets. The tacks should be just behind the facing, on the sides of the pocket liners.

The Bronze set is getting harder to find because they aren't branding it as "Bronze" for 2024 and retailers are selling out their stock. The set will now be called Vanadium and will sell for north of $250.

I have a set of Aramith Tournaments in use plus a brand new set in an unopened box that I got from Wayfair for $200. I have a hard time believing that anything can stay cleaner than the Tournaments, they stay clean far longer than my Centennials and Cyclops. If I can find a Bronze set I may buy a them just because they are cost effective.

YMMV I guess but I can def notice a difference. Go a full month before needing to throw em in the polisher aramith sets half that.

Dynaspheres are really nice. Feel a little different than Aramith Superpros. And their numbers are not quite as sharp as the Superpros. But play very similar at an incredible price. Got mine at Ozone as an extra practice set.

I wish they'd hurry up and make these available:

Been playing with my Bronze set for a while now, and almost hate to admit it, but the Czar was right.

If you are in the market for a new set, these are an incredible deal.
