Just curious on your thoughts on the best billiard magazine. I am a subscriber to InsidePool, and was considering Billiard Digest. So I wondered what everyone elses opinions were. Thanks.

I think you should add Pool and Billiards magazine to the list. They have been around for a long time.

I voted for Inside Pool magazine.

Ive read all of the major magazines. I like pool and billiard and billiard digest for there instruction, I have the new copy of inside pool magazine and was impressed with there tournamet coverage. I dont think you could go wrong if you get any of them.

I like Inside Pool magazine the best. I especially enjoy their tournament coverage. The magazine is fun, innovative and fresh, something the other mags lack.

Best on -line up- to- date Magazine...where we are!

Agreed!

I've voted for Inside Pool......... I've won a free subscription, just for posting on their forum!!! :-)

Been subscribing to all of them for a long time, here's how I rate them:
Inside Pool # 1
Pool and Billiard #2
Billiard Digest a distant # 3
Billiard News is by far the worse publication, the news is old news, not much substance!

I happen to agree with Stroker6626. I used to enjoy Billiards Digest years ago, but lately, the magazine doesn't provide an insight into what is happening in the year 2003.

Their coverage of the 2003 U.S. Open paled by comparison to Inside Pool. Inside Pool is present at every major tournament and gives their magazine away for free at their booth. You can download the magazine from the Inside Pool website, again, free to anybody. Their coverage of tournaments is fresh and exciting, and I enjoy reading columns such as "What's in the case?," but to each their own.

Coverage of Sands Regency Open

Inside Pool is in Reno reporting (daily, with Pics) matches of interest.

I would be there today, were it not for a touch of the flu.

The staff is dedicated to having lots of pictures and sidebar stories at each tournament they cover.

IMO the best magazine.

They all have their strong points.

Billiards Digest has George Fels, Larry Schwartz, Nick Varner, and Mike Shamos.

P & B has a little bit better instructional columns and they did the Legends of the Road series.

Inside Pool is comprehensive and they have Keith McCready. But they get my vote as worst mag because I subscribed 3 months ago and they charged my credit card immediately, but I have yet to receive an issue.

Nuff said. Me too on both statements. Besides, a magazine that is as big a fan of Keith McCready as I am gets my vote. Go getum Earthquake.

Id like to see one of the major magazines ask Efren to give some insights and tips!!

That would be one fine interview. It may be hard to pin Efren down between matches at tournaments. Efren would rather be playing chess.
