Best "cheap" custom cue you've used?

A lot of guys out West have sneaky pete's made by Al Romero for 150-200. Al makes very good playing cues. His shop now is at Hard Times in Sacramento. He is over 80 and still plays pretty sporty himself.
I just sold one of those, 2 shafts and an extension. It would definitely qualify as an inexpensive player. It had a thin butt and played nicely.
 
Back in the early 90’s would get TS sneakys for about 80 bucks, they played pretty good.
