Best instructional video

When I first started playing back in 1990,I watched a great instructional video.It was called "Learn from the Best".It was hands down the best instructional I have ever seen.And that opinion remains today.
There is one part of it that I have wondered about.If anyone knows the answer,PM it to me please.At the end Mike Sigel(with hair)does a short segment on the mental aspect.He offers some mental advice about the game.I forgot what he said.Anybody?
 
I have this video, along with 100 others :) Or should say had, since throughout the years I've borrowed books and videos to people that I have not gotten back, whether by accident or intent.

I'll check my collection, if I still have it I'll throw it in the VCR and let you know what I find out.

I had this video (I think)...It had multiple different pros doing different lessons..

I got to watch it once...I loaned it to someone and never got it back.....Damn Pool Players....:)

He is speaking in the context of 9-ball advisor. He reminds us that shots are more limited in that game and thus it is essential to capatalize upon an opportunity.

His segment is brief. That is the full content! Good luck.
 
"This game is funny in that some days you're going to get shots, and some days you're not."

Basically he was just reminding you to make the most of the opportunity you have at the table, and don't get to frustrated if the balls don't roll your way.

P.S. My favorite part of this video was St. Louie-Louie on "The Power Draw".

I thought Danny Medina did the power draw?
 
Nope, that was Louie.

Medina did this funky jump/bank shot where he banked a ball cross corner then skipped (jumped) the cb over the 8-ball to play it in the same corner.

I remember this video.. First time I had ever seen a true pro on TV. I use that jacked up shot for one pocket shots a lot...

One thing I seem to remember about Louie in that vid, was saying something about "you've got to SNAP your wrist for the power draw!" lol Jeez Louie, didn't you know I would miscue a 100 times trying to SNAP my cue. lol

LOL....He kept saying "Have confidence in your tip!"
That I remember now.
 
Yep, that's the one.

His big bullet points: "Have confidence in your tip. Plenty of chalk, always, and the SNAP of the wrist. You're going to really let go!"
 
Great Video, one of the first ones I saw as a kid that my grandfather had given me. They had everybody in that video. The only outdated segment would be the jumping segment by Belinda Beardon, we have jump cues now!
