In the next few days, I'm planning to purchase either separate jump and break cues or a combination jump/break cue.

I am leaning towards the combination specifically because of the lower cost.

It's very much appreciated for any ideas, comments, or recomendations....

Lomax hands down.

Here is a couple of low cost ideas that i have used that work jsut fine.

1. Lucasi break jump cue ( replace the standard tip with a white diamond )
2. J&J jump break ( again replace the thick tip with a white diamond)
3. Any players cue ( Remove the weight bolt and replace with white diamond)
4. Lucasi jump cue

Now if you dont mind the cost i prefer the original JERICO stinger break jump cues.

jsut some ideas

Now you could pay $65 or $400 for a break/jump cue. I, personally, have a J&J break/jump cue with 2 shafts. I originally bought the cue off Ebay for $44.75, and bought the extra shaft for it for $30. Both have a phenolic ferrule and tip.

The shafts are 13.25 mm, and the cue breaks as good as any I have seen, and personally, I think it breaks better than the BK2. I just had the tip replaced on one of my shafts ($20) with a leather super dud, so now I have the best of both worlds all for a total investment of $94.75.

One of my friends had Dennis Cash, here in Wichita, make him a break/jump cue for $175 that I was impressed with. The jump part works real well, and seemed easy to jump with it. It also seemed to break good.
