Here is a why I think because of how I grew up, it it works it is ok.

Started playing pool at Boys club with equipment. It was fun, Pool bug hit me, because I like game.

Yes it would be nice to have the best equipment, but is not necessary if experience is good or great.

People some times say your ____ car is cool, how do you like. I say it’s a car, gets me from place to place.

Bottom line it is just a car.

I am not the guy with the $150.00 bottle of bourbon, I drink stuff good & reasonable.

I was raised similarly because my family didn't have much money growing up. That being said, I did get nice things every so often so I have an appreciation for higher quality goods and tend to take care of them more than the average person. I have the means now to have nicer things and do not have to settle for lessor quality items. I'm by no means "rich" but I'm not living paycheck to paycheck either. I've worked hard to get where I am in life and feel there is nothing wrong with treating myself to nice things so long as I can afford them. Just like there is nothing wrong with your philosophy. I think it becomes offensive when you try to throw it down other people's throats and if they don't subscribe, they are ridiculed and name called. That's not cool. At the end of the day, life is short and you can't take whatever money you have with you so you may as well enjoy yourself while you are here. If that means spending a couple hundred more dollars for the top of the line pool balls because you love to play pool, GO FOR IT.

I bought three Blue Circle balls a while back.

I have used one of them.

I will trade one of the unused ones for an unused Aramith red or black measle ball.

Well there are things I see value in, but I was m not the person buy thing like Nike Air Jordan’s, Oakley Sunglasses, Ralph Lauren Polo anything.

Would rather spend the money I personally saved, earned, or found on thing that I see value in.

Good friend works for a Harley-Davidson dealership, his stand joke is they Harley-Davidson have figured out how to make more money off t-shirts, related accessories then motorcycles.

People love those $25.00 - $30,00+ t-shirts, dealer loves em also. Huge profit margin.

They do not ltolerate what he does to them for very long.
